MU-Varna won a prestigious special prize in the ranking “Best Universities in Bulgaria”
At an official ceremony held on 12th February in Sofia, the annual awards “Best Universities in Bulgaria” of the “24-hour” newspaper was presented.
After the prizes for the first place in the professional fields “Public Health” in 2016 and “Medicine” in 2017, this time Medical University-Varna received a special award for “Most Quotations of Scientific Publications”.
The prize is of utmost importance for the implementation of the national research strategy in the Republic of Bulgaria 2017-2030. This is the true direction of development of a modern, high-tech university that works to be a recognizable and equal partner in the international educational and scientific market.
The Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Boyko Penkov presented the award to the Vice-Rector for “International Cooperation” at the Medical University of Varna, Prof. Todorka Kostadinova, who received it on behalf of the Rector Prof. Dr. Krasimir Ivanov and the whole academic mangement.
The management of the Medical University of Varna expresses its gratitude to the whole team working in the field of education and science and to all those who care for the health of the people.
The first grade of the newspaper”24-hour “high schools was made in 2004, and the first official, part of which is the Ministry of Education and Science and the consortium making the ratings in 2011. The rating system compares the overall performance of universities by different criteria, as well as in professional fields.
