With a Concert “Rock Ballads – Acoustics”, Doctors, Lecturers and Guests Marked the Healthcare Worker Day

Art is matter, unyielding to algorithms and rules, and the power it carries with it goes far beyond the stylistic division. Today, rock music is not just another genre of music; it is a blend of history, culture and ideas, which has passed through years of evolution and modifications. Rock has become a cult and a lifestyle for generations. It is a style, power and spirit. This is exactly the energy in which we were immersed by the musicians at MU – Varna and UMHAT “St. Marina” – Varna during the yesterday’s concert “Rock Ballads – Acoustics”, on the occasion of 7th April – the Healthcare Worker Day.

The southern courtyard of UMHAT “St. Marina” was overflowing with the sounds of evergreens, performed by students and doctors, who gathered together on one stage to show that music is the driving force that unites us and makes the world a better place.

After his impressive arrival on a motorcycle, the Head of the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and an organizer of the event, Prof. Dr. Vilian Platikanov greeted the audience and set the beginning of the the musical party. The concert was opened by “Diana” Student Dance Ensemble, which performed a fascinating interpretation of Graovsko Horo under the sounds of the eternal classics of AC/DC – “Thunderstruck”.

Among the participants, who raised the spirit of all spectators, were the 15-year-old Georgi Dokimov and the student of Pharmacy at MU-Varna Sezgin Alkov.

The programme climax was the musicians Assoc. Prof. Lyubomira Koeva, Dr. Sevdalina Vladimirova, Rupen Benliyan and Prof. Vilian Platikanov. Under guitar accompaniment, they performed eternal rock hits and popular ballads, greeting all their colleagues and wishing them to be healthy, dedicated as they have always been, to enjoy even higher career satisfaction and plenty of occasions full of smiles and joy.
