MU-Varna opened its doors to visitors on 24 and 25 March for the fifth year in a row. The University attracted a record number of prospective students, more than 1500, who had the opportunity to see the training facilities and to be a part of a special programme prepared for them.
The students were acquainted with the subjects and curricula in the Faculties of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health and the Medical College.
The prospective students observed laboratory experiments, 3D anatomy, experiments in the rooms of virtual microscopy, 3D technology in Dental Medicine and live demos. They found out about the variety of opportunities for sports and cultural life at the University. The richest museum Anatomy collection in the country, check-ups and screening, presentation on the Learning Platform Blackboard, presentations on career development, films about Medical University-Varna, lottery with prizes – all these were also a part of the programme of the Open Days.
Representatives of the Student Council took them around the University. They answered to all their questions and acquainted them with the opportunities for accomplishment after completing their education.
The Affiliates of Medical University – Varna in Sliven and Veliko Tarnovo also welcomed students and their parents. The students from the Affiliates, with the help of their lecturers, demonstrated a variety of medical treatments and procedures for their guests. The Open Days in Shumen Affiliate are scheduled for 29 March, which are expected to provoke a keen interest as well.
The deadline for submission of documents for the preliminary examinations in Biology and Chemistry for the specialties of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy at MU-Varna is 5 April 2017. Documents can be submitted either on the spot, at the University, or online through the official website.
